OUR STORY
We believe independent practice is the future of mental healthcare. Here's why we built this.
The modern mental health system was designed around volume, not depth. Clinicians in institutional settings often see six, eight, or ten patients a day — not because that's what good care requires, but because that's what the billing model demands. Appointments are capped. Refills happen without real conversations. Patients leave feeling processed, not heard.
The consequences are real: misdiagnoses born from rushed intake, medications adjusted without time to understand the full picture, and clinicians who entered this field to help people now buried in administrative burden. The system isn't broken because the people in it are bad at their jobs — it's broken because it was never built around the patient.
Independent psychiatric practice is different. When a clinician controls their own schedule, their own panel size, and their own care model, they can practice the way they were trained to: with time, attention, and continuity. That's the premise this practice is built on.
Running a medical practice involves far more than patient care. There's credentialing, insurance billing, compliance documentation, scheduling systems, and the ongoing administrative work that comes with staying legally and ethically current. For most independent clinicians, this is an enormous burden — often the reason gifted practitioners leave private practice entirely.
We absorb that burden so the clinician doesn't have to. The practice operates under a management services organization structure, which means a dedicated team handles the business side — billing, scheduling, compliance — while the clinician you see remains focused entirely on your care. You get the attentiveness of a small independent practice with the operational stability of a larger organization.
From your perspective as a patient, the experience is simple: a clinician who has time for you, who knows your history, and who isn't distracted by paperwork waiting after your session. That's what this model makes possible.
OUR VALUES
Every appointment is scheduled with enough time to go deep. We don't measure the quality of a visit by how quickly it ends — fifty minutes means fifty minutes of full attention, not forty minutes of care and ten of charting while you wait.
Our clinicians follow evidence-based protocols and stay current through peer consultation, supervision, and continuing education. Independent practice doesn't mean less rigor — it means applying rigorous care without institutional interference.
We post our pricing, explain our process, and won't surprise you with hidden fees or vague billing. If we don't accept your insurance, we'll tell you upfront and help you understand your out-of-network options.
