ADHD

ADHD - Adult

A neurodevelopmental condition characterized by difficulties with attention, impulse control, and executive functioning that persist into adulthood.

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in adults often looks different from the childhood presentation. While hyperactivity may diminish over time, difficulties with sustained attention, organization, time management, emotional regulation, and impulsive decision-making frequently persist and affect work performance, relationships, and self-esteem.

Adult ADHD is frequently underdiagnosed, particularly in women and individuals from underserved communities. Our evaluation process draws on structured clinical interviews, self-report measures, and collateral history when available to arrive at an accurate diagnosis. We also screen for common co-occurring conditions, including anxiety, depression, and sleep disorders.

Treatment for adult ADHD may include stimulant or non-stimulant medications, coaching on organizational strategies, and coordination with therapists or ADHD coaches. Our providers work with each patient to find an individualized approach that supports functioning across all areas of life.
